About the Event

Presented by archaeologist Julian Richards, the film features stunning aerial scenery of Shaftesbury town and explores the story of King Alfred's founding of Shaftesbury and the Abbey. An entertaining account of the Abbey's history and a celebration of the Heritage Lottery Funded SAVED community project. The film highlights the archaeological excavations and discoveries made over the last two years.
