About the Event
Come and make and decorate your own Wayfarer’s Staff and follow the Wayfarer’s walk of discovery.
Inspired by a traditional Pilgrim’s staff, there will be a range of craft materials and sticks for families to construct and accessorise their own walking stick.
Pilgrims would carry useful objects, religious artefacts and talismans for their long journey tied to their walking staffs, along with souvenirs from their travels.
Come and design your own staff then follow a simple trail along Park Walk, St James Street and Gold Hill, picking up additions for your staff.
This is a drop-in event from 10am to 3.30pm. There is no need to book, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
